All of the partners in Waterway, Wilholt, Worfel & Bronsink, LLC are Registered Guardians, with certification from the National Guardianship Foundation Jan and Lynne are also Certified Brain Injury Specialists.

All of the partners have extensive experience in various aspects of both the legal and financial areas of guardianship and conservatorship, in professional trusteeship/management of various types of trusts, financial investigation and analysis, and in settling decedent’s estates. In addition, all are qualified to do assessments for care, apply for benefits, and to do advocacy for patients.

All continue to participate in workshops, conferences a continuing education in the areas of geriatric issues, elder law, Medicare and Medicaid issues, brain, injury, substance abuse, and other related topics. The partners are all insured and are pre-qualified for bonding.

Jan is a graduate of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with a dual degree in Psychology and Sociology. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan in both macro and clinical practice social work. Jan has been a professional fiduciary in Kent County since 1983.

Lynne is a graduate of Aquinas College with a dual degree in Business Administration and Psychology. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Western Michigan University. She also received a Master ‘s Specialty Degree in Alcohol and Drug Abuse in 1995. Lynne is licensed in both macros and clinical practice social work by the state of Michigan. She has been a professional fiduciary in Kent County since 1991.

Michelyn is a graduate of Grand Valley State College with a degree in Psychology. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, from Western Michigan University. Micki has had extensive experience in real estate investment and management, and she held a real estate license prior to becoming a professional fiduciary in Kent County in 1991.

Julianne is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, with a Minor in Sociology. She is licensed as a social worker by the state of Michigan. She has been a professional fiduciary since 1989, with extensive prior experience as a court investigator and in foster care and probation service.

He is a graduate of Michigan Status University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Bill has extensive experience working with severe and persistent mental illness, work as a representative payee and He has also managed a crisis residential unit serving people experiencing acute psychiatric crisis. Bill has been a professional social worker since 1989.

She is a Graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Master’s Degree in Social work and a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Michigan University with a dual degree in Psychology and Gender Studies. Her experience has been with mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, complex medical needs, domestic and sexual violence histories and substance use disorders, providing legal and educational advocacy as needed. Meghan has been a professional guardian, conservator and fiduciary since 2019.

Deborah Zondervan

Deborah has a BA in sociology from Calvin University and a Master’s Degree in Interpersonal Communication through Western Michigan University. She has experience as a non-profit executive director, in conflict resolution and as a certified mediation trainer throughout the state of Michigan, for the US Post Office, Girl Scouts USA and the national office for Head Start programs. Deborah has been a professional guardian and conservator since 2011.
